Plagiarism is rife on campus, with students lifting material from a host of online sources. While technology has made cheating much easier, can it also provide a solution?
The amount of serious plagiarism committed by UK students has declined by 60 per cent since 2005, according to detection service Turnitin.
There’s a new classroom messaging app that goes beyond your typical mobile classroom app. It’s called WDWDT (stands for What Did We Do Today?) and is a messaging service custom-built for students, parents, teachers, and others to stay in the loop about what’s been happening in class lately. The Horizon.K12 Advisory Board voted for the top 12 emerging technologies as well as the top ten trends and challenges that they believe will have a significant impact on teaching, learning, and creative inquiry in global K-12 education over the next five years. These initial results have been compiled into an interim report, known as the “Short List,” and described in further detail.
This Short List will inform the decisions of the advisory board as they embark on the final round of rankings, in which the list of technologies, trends, and challenges will be cut in half for the final report.

FYI… I have used Voki and Polldaddy. Both are simple, intuitive and user friendly. Now I guess I’ll have to try these others as well.
